Welcome to the Plaza Dental Implants Blog

I welcome readers to my First Plaza Dental Implant blog.  In this first blog, I’ll tell you a little about myself (not a lot, just a little; I promise!).  I began placing dental implants in 1989; motivated by a desire to help my denture wearing patients find a better way to eat.  Since that time I have accumulated over 1000 hours in continuing education involving dental implants.  I’m credentialed as a Diplomate by the International Congress of Implantologists (ICOI) and have surgically placed more than 3000 dental implants.  There, that’s it…no more about me!  I could go on about my wonderful wife and my awesome four kids and my incredibly adorable 9 month-old grandson…but I’m just not going to do it.

In the blogs that follow I hope to touch on subjects that are relevant to people in need of dental implants.  I will blog about the materials from which dental implants are made; are they safe, am I a good candidate for an implant, how much do they cost, are they painful, do they fail, will they make me beautiful, will they make me more popular?  I don’t know about making you more popular, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!

If you have questions on topics I haven’t covered, please reach out and ask.  I don’t have all the answers but I will do my best to find them for you.  Placing and restoring dental implants is the most rewarding part of my practice in dentistry.  I love what I do…so I never go to work!  I hope you enjoy the blogs to follow!
